Your appointment begins with a personal consultation to discuss your goals and choose the right product for you. - Schedule at least 2 weeks before any special event, so results have time to settle.
- Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours beforehand.
- If possible, avoid supplements and over-the-counter medications that can increase bruising for 2 weeks before treatment, including aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), naproxen (Aleve), vitamin E, fish oil, ginkgo biloba, and St. John's wort.
- Do not stop any prescribed blood thinner without first talking to the provider who prescribed it.
After Your Treatment
- Stay upright for 4 hours. No lying down.
- Don't rub, massage, or press on the treated area for 4 hours, including wearing tight hats or headbands.
- Avoid exercise, saunas, hot tubs, and prolonged sun or heat for 24 hours.
- Wait 2 weeks before facials, massages, chemical peels, or microneedling.
